This year, Logistica will once again be featuring Scala Logistica, traditionally the place to see live demonstrations of new logistics systems and solutions. At the 2009 event, the spotlight will be on the container. Various innovative aspects of this load carrier will be highlighted, such as the material the container is made from (plastics in particular), design (one new trend is the folding container, which allows hauliers to return several empty containers on a single truck) and the loading and unloading of containers. For example, there will be a demonstration of a robot unloading a container full of boxes. Besides this highly innovative solution, more traditional methods such as slip-sheets will also be demonstrated.
