The order picking station PICK@EASE from VanDerLande Industries places a particular value on ergonomics. The very name of the nomination speaks volumes: picking orders at your ease, without getting tired, is the motto of the PICK@EASE. The aim of this new order picking station is to allow employees to work as long as possible at the maximum permissible capacity. The PICK@EASE has the following advantages compared to competing solutions:

-          optimum ergonomics because order picking is carried out at 1 level

-          ideal working height for the operator thanks to a height-adjustable floor

 The system also has a high degree of accuracy and safety thanks to pick-to-light displays, light curtain and a touch screen. Changing product bins is very quick, enabling a very high level of productivity to be attained permanently.

The new order picking station comes in four versions and enables operators to deliver a performance of 900 order lines per hour. One of the special features of the new workstation for order pickers is that order consolidation takes place at a single level, greatly reducing the risk of RSI according to specialists from TNO, the Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research. The order picking station, which is suitable for slow and moderate-turnover items in retail and wholesale, was recently launched onto the market. Five have already been sold, according to Te Baerts, with interest shown in a further 75.
