The entirely Dutch-owned company RSW specializes in developing innovative solutions for the depalletization (unstacking) and mixed palletization of products. An automated gripper system designed by the company which is in the final stages of development, the MLS Spider, has been nominated for the Logistica Award. The MLS Spider is a machine capable of automatically stacking large orders of conveyable goods which are highly diverse in terms of shape, size and packaging type on both pallets and roll container boxes. Intelligent Palletizing Software quickly calculates the right stacking pattern. The MLS Spider is compatible with all automatic or manual order picking systems currently on the market.

In October 2009, a ‘launch project’ will be held at Nedac Sorbo, a supplier of cleaning products and other household products. Together with Vanderlande Industries and seven partners, a new order consolidation and order picking system will be installed at the company’s warehouse in Duiven. The MLS Spider will be deployed there in combination with a Spiral Sequencer and Ergopack station for pallets.
